44th annual Saturn Awards

Hopefully Supergirl and Melissa can win two years in a row. I wonder if Odette knew what a Saturn Award is, I guess Melissa can explain it to her.

Looking at the movie nominations it’s a shame that the timing used means Wonder Woman and Black Panther are going against each other. Both are great movies that would’ve surly each swept the Saturn Awards if they had been in different years. All the other supporting actresses nominees will have to try another year. There’s no way the SyFy community will pass up a possible last opportunity to honor Carrie Fisher with an award.

Congrats, Melissa! Looking at the other television nominees, I don't see very many from any of the other CW superhero shows, so her getting a nomination really stands out.

Interesting that Odette was nominated as Best Supporting Actress. Is she considered a regular cast member or does that even matter for this award? I do think she has done a wonderful job in pretty much playing two characters who are so different and at opposite ends of the moral spectrum. She is very believable in both so, the nomination is very deserving.

Of course, I would have loved to see Alex nominated in that position but, she really hasn't had much material this year to work with to even be noticed.

While I disagree with the storyline, especially the direction it took in Season 2, as far as I remember Chyler was not nominated in Season 2 for doing some pretty good acting either. Mehcad was. (Or, am I thinking of some other award show? Anyways, other than GLAAD, Chyler has not been nominated for any award as far as I know).

In Season 3 too, she had some good scenes. Though Odette is a good choice too I think.

I think Melissa did very well in Season 3 and got some great scenes... But, she has tough competition from folks like Sarah Paulson and Lena Headey, yes? I didn't particularly care for Gillian Anderson's acting.. But I like Lena Headey and as far as I have heard Paulson is a good actor too.

Interesting that Black Lightning has no actor nominations. I thought, in the episodes I watched, the leads did a pretty good job.
