If you purchased Supergirl’s “Complete Second Season” package and found that none of the four cross-over episodes that she was in during the 2016-17 show were on it (“Invasion” and the ‘Music Meister’ episode), I have the answer to that, as given to me by someone at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Essentially; it was because all of those episodes took place on the other three CW shows, and WB therefore doesn’t consider that they were “technically” (their description) a part of Supergirl’s show or story-lines for last year. I also have ‘Season Three’ of “The Flash”, and the only episode from the three-part “Invasion!” story that’s on that package is the show that the Flash and his team were in, not the other two parts which aired on “Arrow” and “Legends of Tomorrow”.
The reason why I’m posting this here and now is because it also appears that WB probably isn’t going to change this policy for the present 2017-18 shows either. If you feel that cross-over shows should be on the home video season package for each of the shows whose cast of characters appeared on them, then I urge you to contact the appropriate executives of Time-Warner at their head office in New York about this (they can be found on their web site of the same name). Without your encouragement, it’s likely that the “Crisis on Earth-X” saga won’t have anything more than the individual episode from each of the four shows on that show’s season package for this year.
Thanks for your interest to this matter.

I WAS WRONG I came home tonight to a great surprise my season three Blu-Ray arrived four days before the official release date, thanks Best Buy. It in fact does have all four parts of Crisis on Earth-X as well as the inside the crossover feature. It has delated scenes that are helpfully included after the episode they were cut from. And finally it has something that was missing from the season two Blu-Ray, a gag reel..

In addition to Supergirl's 2nd season on DVD, I got only one disc from The Flash, Arrow, and Legends for the Invasion crossover and donated the rest of the DVD's. If they're doing the same for the current seasons, I best better stick with my recordings on the blank VHS tapes.

Hello, Brierosse:
I didn't use e-mail, as corporate executives seem to be very reluctant to make that information public, so I sent an old-fashioned snail-mail letter to the following executives:
Diane Nelson, President, DC Entertainment, and President, Warner Bros. Consumer Products;
Peter Roth, President and Chief Content Officer, Warner Bros. Television Group;
Lisa Gregorian, President & Chief Marketing Officer, Warner's Home Entertainment.
At: Time Warner Inc., One Time Warner Center, New York, NY, 10019-8016.

Hello, Kiwi:
Thank you for the information. I see that it was released just a few days before I did my post here on the forum. It's a shame that WB didn't get back to me about this.
When I bought Supergirl's Season Two package and found that it didn't contain any of the four cross-over episodes that she appeared in, I went to the WB web site in early January and filed a complaint with them there. A lack of response led to a second complaint being filed, and with no response to that I then contacted two different executives (as per the Time-Warner main site) and also their Customer Service site as well.
It was mid-February before I was finally contacted by a supervisor at the WB head office for Canada (where I live) in Toronto, and it was through a series of back-and-forth e-mails with that person that I was told about WB's policy. Namely, that, even it's a multi-part major story event like "Invasion" was, any appearance of any character(s) from any of those four shows on any other shows isn't considered by them to "technically" be part of their adventures for that season - hence, there's no reason for including cross-over events in any of the season packages for any of the shows. And that policy wasn't going to change.
I found the three executives listed below on the Time-Warner site and wrote to them in mid-March, including my home address, e-mail address, and a home phone number. When I hadn't heard anything from anyone about any change in policy two months later (by mid-May), I posted this item on the forum three days ago.
You're posting is good news, for all fans of all four of these shows. Maybe WB has finally seen the light; that if you're going to produce and televise major cross-over events, then it's only sensible that they should also be available in their entirety on the season packages for all of the shows involved.
Thank you again for your update, and your interest in this issue.

I saw the Flash season 4 at Target and it doesn’t include all four installments of Crisis on Earth-X, only part 3. If Flash doesn’t include all four episodes I assume Supergirl won’t either. I did some research and found out weather or not all installments are included depends on what DVD/Blu-Ray Region you’re in. In fact I could go on EBay and buy Crisis on Earth-X as a stand-alone from Australia and the UK but if I did it wouldn’t play on my USA machine. So @Kiwi since you’re in the same DVD/Blu-Ray region as Australia your version may include all four installments while mine doesn’t.

I’m trying to figure out the reason WB doesn’t release the same content worldwide but I’m very disappointed.

That's interesting Brierrose, I've found 2 (links attached) The Flash S4 Blu Ray Reviews from websites which appear to be USA Based saying that all 4 C on E X episodes are on there, so realistically they all should be on the Supergirl S3 Blu Ray.
Well Kiwi I’ll be very happy if you’re right and I’m wrong. The Blu-Ray I saw said “Inside the crossover: Crisis on Earth-X” as an extra and only listed Crisis on Earth-X, part 3 in the list of episodes. Since I didn’t buy the Blu-Ray I don’t know the content for 100% certainly. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that all four parts are on the Supergirl Blu-Ray I pre-ordered. I really hope I’m wrong LOL that doesn’t happen often.

Ok I think I figured out why there's conflicting information. What I saw before was the DVD not Blu-Ray, I wasn't looking at the format. From the attached picture the stickers on the DVD(right) and Blu-Ray(Left) say different things are included. flash (2).JPG

What a rip! Why would they include it on the DVD, but not the Blu-Ray?!?

EDIT TO MY PREVIOUS STATEMENT: I have checked 2 different Blu-Ray Reviews for each of Arrow and Flash's most recent seasons. According to those reviews (one set of which was from the affiliates of another Supergirl related site), all episodes of the crossover have been included in BOTH series. So there is a high chance of it being in Supergirl's season, as well.

Hello, everyone.
When I posted my original entry on this subject back in May I had no idea that it would be continuing into a discussion about the 2017-18 season packages too.
I recently had a chance to see the new releases in stores here in Canada (where I'm from), and noticed that the back of the DVD package talked about "Epic DC Cross-over Event" (the same as last year's packages for 'Arrow', 'Flash', and 'Legends of Tomorrow' said), but that it also talked about "All 23 Episodes". However, the Blu-ray package did say that all four cross-over episodes were included in Supergirl's Season 3 package, and also talked about "All 26 episodes". I also noticed similar packaging for the "Arrow" and "Flash" packages.
So, it would appear that all four of the "Crisis on Earth-X" episodes will be on the Blu-ray versions of last year's season packages for all of the shows, but not on the DVD versions.
I'm patient enough to be willing to wait until the after-Christmas end-of-the-year sales are going on before picking up Supergirl's 3rd season package on sale, but if anyone else who isn't nearly as much of a cheap-skate as I am has bought either version of the shows already, please let the rest of us know, as I'm sure that there are many users of this site who are curious about this.
And I thank everyone who is using this old post to keep the rest of us informed on new developments on this topic.

Hi Richard,
You are correct, the DVD version of season 3 does not include the complete crossover series. I had pre-ordered so mine came in September, and I let Warner Home video know via email that I was not at all happy about that. They advertise this DVD as the "complete" season but that is not true because important segments of the story are missing. I suggested that if they do not want to include the complete crossover on the DVD they should at least offer a crossover DVD as a standalone. In the first crossover (the Dominators) SG played a minor role so it really did not bother me much that the whole thing was not included in that season's DVD. I did purchase a complete copy of the Flash 3rd season solely to get the second part of the musical crossover. But for season 3 of Supergirl, as it stands now, I would have to purchase complete seasons of all three other shows. So I told them that is a lousy way to treat their viewers who do not have Blue-Ray. Anyway, they responded with an email saying that customer service had passed my comments up the chain of command (LOL). So we will see if any changes are forthcoming in the future.

Hi, Superbill:
Thanks for the information - I'm sure many others will find it helpful.
I've tried writing to various executives at WB about this, but without much success. Can you post the e-mail address that you used so that anyone else who's interesting in letting WB know what they think on this issue can forwards their opinions to them?
Thanks for your interesting in this.

Hi Richard,
As I recall, I Googled Warner Home Video. At the bottom right of their Home page is a "Help" tab, which leads you to an FAQ page. One of the selections on that page is something like "My answer isn't here, what do I do?" Click on that and it opens a form asking for your general topic, name, email address, etc., and a Comments field.
After I sent my comments I received a response from their Customer Service saying they had referred my issue to the responsible department. That's the last I heard from them. For what it is worth, here is the email address from the reply email: service@wbshop.com

Good luck!

Hi again, Superbill:
Thanks for the info. I've already tried contacting WB about my disappointment about the cross-over episodes being shown on TV, and then not being made available to fans in the home entertainment packages, so I'm not sure if I'll use this e-mail address or not, but it would be nice if others do.
Long ago, and far away, there was an era (i.e.; before computers and the internet) when the only ways of contacting a business with a complaint was to either write a letter and post it via mail, or phone them. Back then, there was a general rule-of-thumb that for each letter or phone call of complaint that was received by a business, there were probably 50 to 100 other people who had the same complaint, but who hadn't bothered to come forward with it.
I don't know if that still holds true today, but there's no doubt that, for each person who lets a business of any kind know why they're unhappy about something, there are dozens more who don't speak up. So, each person who does let WB know how they feel about this issue is also speaking for many others, so I hope that as many as possible will be encouraged to speak up.
Thanks again for your interest on this issue.
