This had a similar feel to the black mercy episode and I was wondering if anyone felt the same way. I think the writers and directors really did a good job of immersing the viewers into the altered reality as well. Overall it was a cool episode and I'm really excited to see where the thing with Leviathan and the trapped VR users is going. Please elaborate!
I did note the similarity; the "you have to choose to leave" angle sealed it.

Yes!!!! It was just like the Black Mercy episode except it was Alex instead of Kara. I've always wondered what it would e be like to have Supergirl's powers, and Chyler did a great job of showing how that would feel. The Black Mercy episode was much more emotional than this one, though.

I can see the similarities. Kara had to choose to leave the black mercy reality.
