Hi,
Just slightly off-topic but well-intentioned. I'd like to wish everyone who celebrates a very Happy New Year! May 2018 be a happy, healthy, prosperous and kind year to all!
And, for those living in many parts of North America currently under extremely harsh polar vortex conditions, stay warm, dry, and only venture out if it is absolutely necessary.

Thanks! Same to you
As for myself, I just got back from our local Target Supercenter with several boxes full of assorted fireworks! I'm getting all stocked up with pyrotechnics for New Year's Eve in South Florida! May Murphy (of "Murphy's Law" fame) be asleep when I light my fuses

Lol I hear Times Square will be -2° wind chill tonight. Ummm that would be a hard pass from me. Plus, talking with friends in NYC who've done the ball drop, they say since you're pretty much locked into the pens once you enter, women wear Depends since they can't leave for the potty. Ummm... That's another reason to hard pass. lol
Well, that sounds like a whole lot of fun even in warmer weather, LOL.And, for those living in many parts of North America currently under extremely harsh polar vortex conditions, stay warm, dry, and only venture out if it is absolutely necessary.

It was -9°F here this morning, now up to 0°F. That's pretty much been the steady pattern for the last 6 days. Definitely not weather that encourages New Year's Eve festivities. Perhaps when I was younger and colder temperatures only meant stronger drinks, but my body doesn't function very well with an extreme of either of two any more .
