Alright people of SGTV, the biggest DCTV event has come. I think we all hope they can do the huge undertaking justice.
I think back when I was very active I was informally the "crossover" discussion poster. Apologies if someone has already made a discussion for this. Alert me and I will remove this post.
Otherwise, have fun!

This whole multiverse thing totally confuses me, so I will just wait until I see the actual crossover and which Earth's survive and which don't......

I thought Part Two was terrific.
Favorite moments:
Mick Rory taking care of Jonathan Kent.
Lex dismissing Earth-38 Clark Kent as Superman's true identity.
Lois being totally interested in Earth-96 Clark Kent.
Superman vs Superman!!!
Kevin Conroy's heel turn.
Kara being momentarily interested in Earth-96 Clark Kent.
Kara and Kate's scenes. Way, way better than their shared time in Elseworlds.
I agree that it's too early to make any statements about the status quo going forward. I like the angle they are taking in trying to restore Oliver and Earth-38. We'll have to see if these efforts are doomed to fail or will provide a feel good conclusion.
My guess is Kate will use the Kryptonite to try to stop Kara from doing something potentially foolish.

Well done Liberty Prime , that's exactly what happened and it appears as if you wrote this before the Hour Three episode screened.

Right after the Crisis, I had a few crises of my own on family and job fronts. Things finally quieted down enough for me to fully digest this season's crossover and I can now answer the burning question on everyone's mind: "What did LibertyPrime think?"
Anyway, as a whole, I loved it. I think they bobbled things in episode 4 a bit, splitting everyone up seemed a little unnecessary to me, but it all came together nicely and set up the new shared future effectively.
Some random thoughts:
As always, I enjoyed the larger scale action and interplay that crossovers afford. Cress Williams and Ruby Rose did a great job, and I was glad to see them. I just wish I liked their respective shows more.
The callout to Swamp Thing actually made me kind of sad, given his show was cancelled.
But it made me so happy to see Marv Wolfman be a part of the proceedings. The photo Barry and Kara signed was awesome in its unabashed cheesiness. Glad the two got to share that moment.
Going forward, I can buy the deep connection Kara and Kate share. After all, they have spent months together now.
The official formation of the "Justice League" was terrific. It was rooted in character and shared experiences, not their powers. Like the awkward glances when Jefferson asked, "How often does the world almost come to an end?"
OMG Gleek is canon!
I'm sure I am over-thinking the reveal of Earth Prime. It just seems to me that the Paragons are kind of living in a world full of strangers. Things that happened in previous seasons could not have happened—or at least could not have happened in the same way—as what we (and Kara) remember. So Alex-Prime isn't really Alex-38. (If I were on that Earth, would I be LibertyPrime-Prime? )
That puts the characters and audience in a weird kind of place, similar to the infamous Dallas episode where a deceased Bobby Ewing stepped out of the shower and revealed that the previous season was a dream. When I watch Supergirl Season One, Kara and Barry met when he crossed into Earth 38. The rest of the world remembers something entirely different. So what is "true?"
And Superman-38 wasn't a paragon, so why didn't he seem to be aware of how many kids he has with Lois?
Like I said, I am over-thinking it; I do have a philosophical bent. They are marketing this as a feature, not a bug in that the mysteries of this shared Earth will be explored. But I'm kinda like, "I sat through Season Four only to find Lex in charge of the DEO? How is a subsidiary of a Corporation a 'Department'? Do I throw my BluRay discs away now?" And so on... The big takeaway there is probably that living inside my head is sometimes hell.
So there it is. I had a blast watching COIE and came away with far too many questions!
We'll have to see where it all goes, but for now, I'm in a good place with it.

All I can say is, it's now The Final Countdown.
*****
Auuuuugh! Robert, now you've gone and done it! I can't get that #$%^&# song out of my head with its cheesy '80s keyboard runs, electric drums, cruddy guitar solos, faux bombast, tinny sounding vocals and big, big, oh so big, teased hair.
(Talk about gettin' triggered here!... )

That was the intent behind the original story--to clear up all the multiple Earths and their respective versions of the characters. Make DC Comics less confusing and allow for clean slate for continuity going forward.
I saw an interview with Mark Guggenheim, where he said CoIE would offer the showrunners a "magic key" for making changes to the status quo. So it could conceivably have the opposite effect for the CW DC shows, inserting more uncertainty.
Nothing for it but to buckle up and see where the roller coaster takes us!
Side note: Composer Blake Neely promises many special musical moments Sunday night. I think he'll be live tweeting the episode!

With the whole multiverse thing and others, this is the most extensive crossover ever. Sadly whenever in the past CW tries to include mass quantity, qualitatively the story/execution suffers. (Smaller crossovers like the 1st Flash/Arrow, or the first Flash/Supergirl ones were much nicer than the huge 4 show ones)
Hopefully this time their performance can match their ambition.

Lots of BTS pics have come up, like on this site called Supergirl Fans which is based in Lima, Peru. There is this one photo where a Superman is seen with Supergirl...it happens to be Kingdom Come Superman played by Brandon Routh. The original source is actually Jesse Rath on Twitter.

How cool is that?
And there's many more. But let me give you this one. Remember the time in the Earth-X crossover when Sara and Alex quickly hooked up? Well...here are Caity and Chyler again...getting a little cheeky.
Original source is Elizabeth Tulloch's Instagram.

I think we need to hold our britches before just assuming the ENTIRE status quo has shifted for Supergirl. We have 4 more parts, 2 of which don't air until mid-January. In that time, we don't know what will happen, or what destruction will be undone.
My personal theory is that they will use this event as a way to merge at LEAST all the Arrowverse Earths. This means that their histories will merge, as well, as they did in the comics. Meaning Earth 1 would have it's own DEO, National City, and would still be struggling with Leviathan in the second half of the season. Though I predict that Argo will remain destroyed.
At the same time, I don't think EVERY DC Earth will be merged. I'm confident that the Earths of Titans, as well as other properties, will still remain separate, yet restored (since Titans is renewed for season 3).
It's all just prediction and speculation, at this point.

So what is Batwoman going to do with her bit of Kryptonite?
The Scene in which A hands B some Kryptonite, and nothing happens, was precious.

I'm really enjoying how this crossover is developing. LibertyPrime's post nailed many of the high points of Part 2 for me. I especially liked the scenes between Kara and Kate, and Lex's reaction to the Clark Kent who gave up his powers was really funny. Best of all, Kara being the Paragon of Hope is perfect for the character. Finally a crossover where Supergirl/Kara plays a central role!

Quoting Kiwi: "While I'd be totally happy with Earth 1 I'm going to predict it stays on Earth 38 if for the only reason to give Kara a personal victory, she's fighting for it currently and our girl deserves for E38 to be restored."
Chalk up one more vote for Supergirl restoring Earth 38.

I'm thinking it's pretty clear, now that all the universes have been destroyed, they're all going to end up being restored. Just with the loss of Alura being rather anticlimactic alone, I felt that wasn't her final demise. I was beginning to think, "Oh hey, maybe I'm wrong," when they were able to move billions to Earth 1. But, yeah, once that went, too, I saw the door open back up to everything going back to as it was.
But, I have been wrong on most things--98% of the time--so we shall see. I could see a few things jumbled up if and when universes are restored--i.e. a slightly different life for each of the characters. However, I agree with Kiwi--I'm not sure I could see a totally satisfactory ending if Kara, who's fighting to bring back Earth 38, doesn't get 38 back. No way to fit Earth 38 population on Earth 1--not to mention all the doppelgangers bumping into each other. lol

Just to show how silly things get during filming of the crossover...our dear Space Dad David Harewood has posted this picture on his Instagram of the tragic death of Superman Kingdom Come. With Brandon Routh are Melissa and Ruby Rose, who now has gotten the memo that being silly is a requirement.
He put a new spin on things...
Now we all know Melissa can sing...but so can Ruby. And Melissa might be able to hit the soprano notes. Although I don't know if PBS' Great Performances would air this myself.
