I believe she will win the early fights too. Although I also wonder if she's going to have a brief period of imprisonment like Alura did in season 1.

Anyways...could Ruby be used as a weapon against Reign, like do you guys think the sight of her would cause Sam to break through or hold back?

Couldn't that fight scene a dream\nightmare that Sam has? Sam stiill can't control her powers and just a few episodes later she wanted to fight Supergirl?

If I'm not mistaken isn't this the episode that Saturn Girl makes her appearance?? Should be a good way to go into the mid-season break!! Really enjoying Season 3 so far.....

Agreed. I've made this comparison, before, but Supergirl needs Reign to be her version of Zoom. His first fight against Flash was one of the best sequences. It was incredibly short, but it set the tone for just how powerful an opponent he was, and the dire circumstances Barry would face.

This has the opportunity to be the same for Supergirl. Especially if this is just the beginning form, for Reign, and she has a later, more alien and powerful looking form. And it could set the tone for the rest of the season.

I've said it before, but Supergirl needs a physical threat. Someone or something that overpowers her, pure and simple.

Yeah but unlike Zoom, the friendship that she had before was done with no deceit on Sam's part. Sam's friendship before Reign appears is real... and thus Kara has a more emotional threat each fight too.

After 3 seasons, now The Flash has a Supergirl style villain, one who cannot beat the hero in a straight fight, one who resorts to plots and scheming.

Let's hope then Supergirl this season has a Flash style villain, one who is honestly powerful and a threat, one who would be considered heroic, instead of trivial, to overcome

I would like to see Reign totally kick Supergirl's arse, to the point of killing her and something clicks her back to Samantha and she doesn't do it. That to me would show that this foe is far different from any that Supergirl has faced...AND, I want Supergirl to realize that she is about to be killed, but Reign suddenly stops, there is compassion in her eyes for a split second and she disappears.

I would like to see Reign totally kick Supergirl's arse, to the point of killing her and something clicks her back to Samantha and she doesn't do it. That to me would show that this foe is far different from any that Supergirl has faced...AND, I want Supergirl to realize that she is about to be killed, but Reign suddenly stops, there is compassion in her eyes for a split second and she disappears.

Yeah, I want Sam to be constantly fighting...I mean for this type of thing i kind of want Reign to be a separate entity given how likable they made Sam. Worried about being a bad mom even though we've seen she spends a lot of time with her kid. And confiding in her boss for advice on her kid.

Yeah, the way Sam was cowering on the floor...she was completely scared. I am still wondering how we're going to get from this to Reign in 5 episodes.

I just have a feeling that this is just going to be heartbreaking to the extreme....I'm not ready.

I mean if I had hallucinations like that, I'd do more than cower on the floor lol. Might have bolted out of the door screaming.

She's just a normal person now. If Barry saw Zoom before he got powers he'd crap himself. Wait till Reign gets powers though. It'll be a physical and mental transformation

I hope Reign will be a very formidable opponent - just like Zoom was to Barry just like others are saying here. I don't remember Kara being truly afraid of anybody (maybe except Vartox and Reactron, but those were short lived). Non was supposed to be worst than Astra, he always showed bravado but he turned out to be weak and easily defeated.

Against Zoom, it took Barry about an episode or two to regain a little bit of his confidence.

yeah i agree with you all,we need more powerfull villain like Reign to beat SG sometimes..
will Reign have the sword as a weapon just like the picture from the comic??i hope she will have it..

Why do so many people want to see Supergirl get beaten up and bloody? Do people really want to see poor Kara get stabbed through the chest and thrown down a mountain like Oliver, or get her back broken and hung up like a rag doll like Barry? I mean, I get that she needs a strong physical challenge, and that the greater the threat the greater the hero, but the show thus far has generally maintained a certain hopeful and optimistic tone that doesn't jive with lots of brutality. If it has to be done, at least let's keep it tasteful for the younger audience members.

I think that the way to defeat Reign will be to try to 'awaken' Sam within her or get her to break through.
