I think I'm first!
This is legit, from a new CW promo!

EDIT: Added an image of him from comics, for comparison.
Here's the original Mon-El look from the 60s. This is from the issue of Action Comics in which he saved Kara's life:

If they had used this for the Legion of Superheroes episode, it might have been better.
Why go through all this in making the iconic suit just for a tease when you can use it for the 3rd season?
I too think Winn will make the suit.

Pretty close to the comic I must say. But I wonder...was that just a teaser...or is this legit? I hope it's legit.

Ugh, what's the deal with the cape attachments on this show? Supergirl's cape is how it's supposed to work, but Superman and now Mon-El have those ridiculous looking clasps.
This is just educated guess work based on interviews. But Supergirl's cape works the way it does because it's likely attached to the corset Melissa wears underneath. A corset isn't practical for anyone, but it definitely doesn't work as well for males. With how heavy the capes are, the clasps allow the cape to be removable in-between takes, and make it easier to CGI the cape for various scenes, as was done for a lot of Tyler's scenes as Superman in season 2.
Plus...Valor/Mon-El ACTUALLY has clasps for his cape, in the comics.
