Now that Melissa is back on set, thought we could go ahead and create a thread of any BTS stuff we may come across and/or want to discuss.
Kiwi, this one's for you. Kara finally back to reporting....

Was going to create a Elseworlds dump thread but this post entirely killed my dreams
(No hard feelings this post is great)
No no... Do it. There's lots to post for it. There's a dance-off video between Grant and Melissa. Start the new thread, and I'll plop it in there.

SPOILERS!
This was shared by Stephen Amell. I have absolutely lost my mind over this photo, both for how awesome at is, and the possibilities it implies for this crossover and for the future.

Melissa, Jesse and Kevin Smith filming in Port Coquitlam today (09 October). Tweets attached from YVR Shoots and Talented Katz. I'm liking seeing Kara and Brainy scenes being filmed, definitely want more of them in Season 4.
Stephen Amell's Twitter is worth following. He makes some good and fun posts about filming like "Gotta say... it was weird being the only actor filming on Flash for a couple of hours today..." and "Spoiler alert: This years crossover begins with Oliver eating pancakes.", Stephen should totally make that one happen .
Stephen is tweeting a LOT about this year's crossover. He seems really excited about it.

I'm done with Cadmus. The only reason they should ever reappear is to resolve the Jeremiah story, which remains the shining beacon of broken plot on this show.
Agreed. Though Dean Cain has implied that he's returning, this year.
I don't think they should have even had that Lillian Luthor episode, last year. It did absolutely nothing for the plot, and was one of the worst episodes of the season, IMO. If Dean really is playing a part, this year, hopefully they can lay the rest of the Cadmus subplot to bed.
Though, it is worth noting that Henshaw was never EVER captured, even once. I was supremely upset at how they portrayed "Cyborg Superman", but I think his glaring absence has been another abandoned aspect, unless they fold it into a future threat.

Sons of Liberty and Cadmus are different than Astra/Non, Reha, and the Worldkillers. The latter were individuals that once neutralized there was a clear victory. The former are groups so even if you neutralize the leader the group remains, there’s no clear victory and the group may go dormant until new leadership takes over or the remaining members join a likeminded group.I never really thought of Cadmus as a 'one and done' threat. I actually thought of them as quite the opposite. When we left Season 1, the belief was that Cadmus was an extremely powerful, covert group within the government system that was tasked with obtaining aliens for research and as possible future weaponry. My understanding, or perhaps hope, was that it would be a group that was tightly weaved throughout the underpinning of the government and one that would be difficult to narrow down to just one source therefore, a more long-term, serious threat. However, Cadmus was unwrapped rather quickly during Season 2 with Lillian, a private citizen, outed as the leader. Everything that had been built up about it being a multi-prong threat appeared to have been dropped and the organization was relegated to a small hate group. In addition, the role of Cadmus narrowed even further as the season went on and the focus shifted from a major threat to Supergirl into more of a source of parental conflict for Lena and Alex (via Jeremiah). When Lillian showed up in Season 3 it was almost a laughable moment because of how easily she was captured.
I agree that Cadmus was mishandled in season two and I think the main reason for that was Brenda Strong wasn’t signed as a regular so her availability was limited. I said before I wanted Cadmus to be a persistent thorn in Kara’s side, something that never quite goes away. Sons of Liberty and Cadmus are likeminded groups so while Cadmus has lost leadership, with Lillian in Jail, it’s remaining members can join forces with the likeminded group. Think about real life hate groups, which have existed throughout human history, and how they have evolved all over the world just in the last couple of centuries.
I am not familiar with the Sons of Liberty but, from the sounds of it, they're going to be a continuation of a hate group, and perhaps you're right and the writers will tie Cadmus in with the group. But, because of the lack of definition and follow-through in previous seasons, Cadmus as it was originally built up to be in Season 1, is pretty much defunct. And while hate groups are definitely a viable threat, they're also a trope so, it would be nice if they expanded upon the idea and did something with it that hasn't already been done.
I think there will be a battle for Lena’s heart and that will be one of Kara’s victories or losses this season.Frankly, I am tired of the success or failure of the defeat of the villain riding on something that Lena does or does not do so, I hope that the resolution of the Sons of Liberty, aka Cadmus if that's the case, not be a result of Lena's conflict of between being good or bad.

I want this anti-alien group that Agent Liberty is leading to be a formidable threat. Let's be honest. Cadmus was only a threat, once, in the episode where they captured Mon-El and Kara. Beyond that, they were lackluster, at best.Well, if we're being honest , the only time that I actually felt Cadmus as a threat was when they were first introduced, back in Season 1, and took Alex and J'onn captive. Even though both Alex and J'onn escaped, the potential for Cadmus as a ominous future villain was very intriguing. Season 2 pretty much nipped that anticipation in the bud though.
I had a similar feeling with the prospect of Reign and the World Killers this last season. The build-up of the Killers and then the beat-down that Reign gave Kara felt like we were in for a real ride for the remaining 2/3 of the season. Unfortunately, it, too, fizzled out and never really seemed to go anywhere as a real threat. While I do enjoy seeing Kara as just Kara, the back and forth between Supergirl and a formidable opponent creates the suspense that I particularly look forward to watching. So, I'm really hoping the anti-alien group is this type of antagonist and not just a political plot piece.

The names, leadership, methods, strength, and visibility change but the goals really don’t. What will “victory” against Sons of Liberty look like for Kara, it certainly won’t be the same as the victory against Worldkillers. Will it be changing the heart of or imprisoning the leader Ben Lockwood, neither of which changes the hearts of the rank and file members of the group. It’s a much bigger challenge to show the hero “winning” against a group than against individuals. How should the writers to show Kara defeating the Sons of Liberty. I think there will be a battle for Lena’s heart and that will be one of Kara’s victories or losses this season.

From Hollywood Pipeline, Rough Day for 'Supergirl' - Set Photos Show Melissa Benoist Struggling to Free Herself.
Judging from the setting, it will take place in the same scene as the Manchester Black pics, from earlier this week.

Wooowhoo... one of my favorites BTS from any Supergirl season...not just because its a sister moment, but also because I love seeing the acting process--them receiving direction, and how they react to said direction.I have tried to stay out of this thread so, I don't become spoiled but, my curiosity got the best of me and here I am. This video and the previous shots are interesting. It makes me really wonder who that guy is that is attacking Kara and what kind of power he has to be able to hurt her. So, so happy to see Danvers sister scenes being filmed, too, even if it is perhaps not under the best circumstances.
