As promised, here's my Valentine's Day Supergirl fan-fiction story . I'm featuring the two couples (Alex & Maggie, and Dick & Susan) in the plot, but it's not romance fiction (I can't do that!). It's really just my usual blend of superhero "community involvement", action, and character development. Hope you like it!

A good fun story thanks Stewart. I liked that you had Supergirl receiving lots of Valentine's Day gifts and cards similar to the Action Comics # 311 panel you posted a couple of days ago.

Yes, that's exactly where I got the idea from!

Here are photos of a can of Jupina soda (a Cuban and Central American favorite) and a muffaletta sandwich ( a local New Orleans favorite):

Stewart another one of your fun fast reads. It sort of reads like the TV show. But I seem to notice something...and call me nitpicky for it. But as someone who worked in radio broadcasting I seem to note Nat City has a TV station with a K in their call letters (KGTV...which is a real TV station in San Diego; the ABC station on channel 10); but a radio station with a "W" in their call letters. I was under the impression, Nat City was like LA. But now I guess given how the TV show films in Vancouver (and I did hear there was snow in BC), i guess Nat City becomes like Minneapolis, MN which has broadcast stations starting with both a K and a W (KSTP radio and TV, KUOM radio, KARE-TV KMSP-TV as well as WCCO TV and Radio along with WUCW-TV (Supergirl's Twin Cities home).

By the way there was a WNAC Radio in Boston. When it signed on in 1922, it was a part of the Yankee Network a chain of stations in southern New England that is now just a part of radio history. In 1967 (50 years ago) WNAC now at 680 on the dial would become WRKO and that city's beloved Top 40 radio powerhouse. In 1981, WRKO would become a talk radio station. But just a couple of years ago, WRKO introduced 60's Saturday night, where the golden age of Boston Top 40 radio is relived as many of the FM stations have ditched 60's music from their playlists.

Thanks!

Yes - that's exactly what I've been trying to do! :)

You're right - that was an oversight on my part. National City (and Midvale) are supposed to be in California. So the radio station would actually be called KNAC (not WNAC). My mistake!
I'll go on my Facebook page and change it now!

Thanks Stewart. And there used to be a legendary L.A. rock station at 105.5 FM KNAC. The station signed off over 20 years ago and became a Mexican station KBUE.

BUT...KNAC is back, via the internet.

That's interesting!
My fictional KNAC is an FM Top 40 station that often features local talent - like the Aquanauts surf-rock band that amateur guitarist Kara sometimes plays with. Their afternoon DJ Bob Gordon is a long-time fixture at the station, and a well-known local personality in National City. He's originally from Midvale (where he started his radio career), so Kara, Alex, and Dick Malverne know him from way back.
